Some days ago, my brother Jim (if you remember: he is my favourite victim when it comes to get together a crew for one of my short films) sent me a photograph of something I did not really understand what the deal was about, at first. Then, two days or so later, he called me, asking if I had seen the book.
Me: “Which book?”
Jim: “Your book, man. The one with the Ewoks.”
Me: “Jimmy, they are not Ewoks. They are Wan Taus. You know. They live below this wooden floor.”
Jim: “Yeeeeah, I know. Wan Taus. Now have you seen the picture?”
Me: “Ah, you mean the one with Freddy (Krueger)? It looks cool.”
Jim: “No, man. Your book is displayed in the shop-window of facultas! I sent you the pictures some days ago!”
Me: “Oh, shit…… awesome!! Wait, let me…”
For those of you who do not live in Vienna, Austria: Facultas is one of the book stores in the city center, right behind St. Stephens Cathedral. When I went to talk to the bookstore manager, I took some pictures, just for fun.
If you are wondering now: The book Jim is talking about is my first children’s book Below the Floor (or: “Das Dorf unter dem Fußboden” in German).

St. Stephens Cathedral. With the perfect weather in Vienna: Rain. 🙂

“Are you taking pictures of me?” “No, dear horse… no”

And here are the pictures my brother has sent me:
I guess the bookstore manager liked my little tale. Yeah! 😀
That brilliant, you must be thrilled to see you book in the bookshop window, especially in such a beautiful location near the Cathedral as well 🙂
