In the previous post, I mentioned the storyboards we presented to our clients for an internet campaign featuring an iPhone in paradise.
The client liked the idea with the camera move trough the paradise setting very much and I was happy, that I got the chance to create this one.
As we were doing it for an internet campaign, I did not have the time and budget to create extensive miniature sets or on location shootings, but I wanted to do it as cool as possible within the given timeframe we got. The whole animation had to be finished within one week (!).
So I decided to go 3D. I never did 3D plants before but I knew I can get it off and Diego, our project manager, as well as Michi, my boss (the surfer), were extremely supportive.
So everything starts with a sky, a ground and some trees and rough gras.
Below are some low quality test renderings which I produced during the creation of the scene to test quickly, if I was heading to the right direction.
I’m glad they liked the pitch! I’m not so glad that they didn’t like the 3d Renderings though!! I hope you explained these things take time… ya know.. like longer than 1 week!!

Well, the client did not dislike the rendering style of my Garden of Eden, but they did not like the setting / plants and the overall feeling of the location. So I had to work on it a bit. 🙂
